I love getting my hands into clay.

Clay remains one of our oldest and most expressive materials.

I took up the challenge of making ceramics without a kiln or wheel due to space constraints. Thanks to the advent of the microwave kiln, I have been able to hand-build and fire chadō bowls, condiment dishes, and small plant pots, including raku firing glazes to bring out iridescent effects.

The highly unpredictable nature and intense thermal shock of this method requires persevering through regular failures, as well as adopting an uneven aesthetic reminiscent of those produced in a wood-fired kiln.
