Classical KDB FM has been celebrating National Poetry Month by airing poems inspired by classical music. They broadcast throughout Santa Barbara county at 93.7 FM and online at their website. An edited version of my poem “The Instrument Is My Voice” is airing this week at various times.
I pared the poem down to meet the time requirement, and the station mixed in a clip of Yo-Yo Ma playing Bach Cello Suite Number 6 Sarabande underneath it. My parents, wife, and I tuned in this morning to listen.
