I made the trip down to Canoga Park last night to hear Robert Wynne read at The Cobalt. It was worth the journey. Though Robert read some of his “ligher” works, including many from a series inspired by mis-matching famous painters with the wrong famous painting, his honed attention to craft shone through. Rick Lupert has been hosting this series for over a decade–a task not unlike Atlas shouldering the world. Thanks to everyone who made the evening stimulating and eccentric, and thanks to Robert for sharing his work.
