I had a great time this evening reading my poems in the current and previous issues of South Bank Poetry. The sweltering basement of the Poetry Cafe was packed with friendly faces. The reading combined Londoners and urban Irish in a refreshingly down-to-Earth mix of voices. Many thanks to Peter Ebsworth and his co-editor for a lovely evening. As I tap this brief report into my phone on the train ride back to North Hertfordshire, I feel a small part of the London poetry tribe.
