I have been enjoying some interesting conversations on Metaxucafe about the role of online journals and blogs in shaping the sensibilities and expectations of readers. Many issues to raise here, including: the attention span of the average surfer, the difference between a physical book and a clickable page, blogs as a form of self-publication, the blogger’s role in journalism as distinct from (and adjunct to) the arts, the belief that digital is the future, the notion of credibility and paper, and much more to mull over and discuss.
