I used <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blender.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Blender<\/a> to render a flock of birds and then composited them together with historic aviation footage from the <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/details\/prelinger\" target=\"_blank\">Prelinger Archives<\/a>. The poem wrote itself after that, and Valerie&#8217;s piano accompaniment followed.
