I have cleaned up the SimpleQuiz Online Testing System file structure a little bit and released it on Sourceforge. If you are interested in a basic online testing system written in PHP/MySQL, this package might be a good kickstart to your next project. The idea is to make it easy for teachers to create and review student quizzes online. If you are interested in contributing to the project, please contact me. Areas that would be helpful include:
- Creating a web-based installer
- Creating end-user documentation (“a manual”)
- Creating an automated grading module for multiple-choice exams
The underlying goal is to keep the system simple and user friendly. Much like the Dialogs project I worked on years ago. Not trying to be Moodle–just trying to contribute something that does few things but does them well. Again, if you’re interested, drop me a line.
