Crawling Sand

Last year, during the Winter residency, we had snow on the beach. This year, the wind is driving fine sand over the dunes in silky rivulets. Apologies for the shaky camera work. It is really blowing out there.

I love Seaside in the winter.

My in-laws live (a stone’s skip north) in Gearhart.

Small world, Greg. We had dinner in Gearhart the other night at a nice place with a historical marker outside. Great mushroom ravioli, and a lot of pork and seafood on the menu. The sun’s been out since yesterday, so we’re all feeling a little more sane.

I’m not sure which place that might be. The historical marker may be new. The Pacific Way Cafe in Gearhart is a terrific place to eat. My in-laws own and operate a small store (“A Great Shop”) just kitty-corner from The Pacific Way.
