Turns out one of the RBL sites my blog software checks to try to weed out spam had died. So, it was waiting and waiting for a response -- which means if you tried to post a comment recently, you, too, may have been waiting and waiting. But no more. I found the culprit. So the site should respond reasonably quickly again after you hit "Submit Comment." Just a quick note to say that comment posting has been laboriously slow (thanks to Pearl for pointing this out).
