It doesn’t make me dizzy like most sestinas I’ve read. There’s a narrative advancement.
Pearl, I think that’s an important point — often sestinas can seem to "swirl" as it were, but here the narrative does advance, albeit not totally linearly. Thanks for pointing that out.
